Some people are very sensitive to the effects of EMF radiation and can literally feel the negative symptoms when exposed to it.

This is known as Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity or EHS.

Those with EHS can find themselves struggling in the workplace since they need to be on a computer all day and have direct contact with their fingers/ hands on a laptop or keyboard.

This can cause pain or uncomfortable tingling sensation from direct EMF exposure.

How Do EMF Radiation Protection Gloves Work?

EMF radiation protection gloves are typically made from materials like copper, silver, or aluminum in mesh or solid forms. No material can fully block EMF radiation but instead, it attenuates the radiation, which I've talked about extensively in other articles.

Attenuation is a gradual loss of force as energy passes through the material. A great example of this is the lead vest you wear while at the dentist getting X-rays. The vest attenuates the X-rays.

Most EMF radiation protection gloves are made out of some kind of metal made into a mesh material.

These work because the metal attenuates the radiation even though the material is not completely solid the mesh is smaller than the largest wavelength, allowing it to almost completely stop the radiation.

One of the many benefits of using protection gloves is they are a physical barrier between your hands and your electronic device.

This direct protection has a much higher defense rate than using, for instance, an EMF protection necklace.

Some people believe in products like EMF protection jewelry, which certainly can potentially offer some relief to the body.

However, if you are struggling with a specific part of your body, ie your hands are tingling after hours of working on your computer, a direct barrier will do a more thorough job protecting.

I recently had someone message me on the private EMF Academy Facebook group asking about this. She is an administrative assistant and is typing on a keyboard constantly.

She is a bit sensitive to EMF radiation and mentioned that she felt pain in her hands that she didn't feel was related to carpal tunnel, arthritis, or other muscular-skeletal issues.

So, for her, I think EMF protection gloves are likely a great option. I also think that you could look into using a lower EMF keyboard as well.

Reasons Why You Might Need EMF Protective Gloves

When you have brands like Apple that say in their manual they recommend keeping your device at least 5 millimeters away from your body you may wonder how exactly am I supposed to use my device?

Purchasing a pair of EMF protection gloves is one of your best options to keep yourself safer from overexposure to radiation from your device.

Another great reason to get a pair of EMF protection gloves it to prevent the negative symptoms that could arise if you are typing on a computer the majority of your days.

By wearing these gloves you will be greatly decreasing your exposure to harmful EMF radiation and potentially saving yourself from future discomfort.

In some professions, you may find yourselves working with other high EMF radiation devices (besides just your phone and computer) or maybe in an industry where you need static control for working with delicate static-sensitive components.

In either of these situations, a pair of EMF protection gloves could be very useful.

Best EMF Protective Gloves

Although there aren't a ton of EMF protection gloves on the market, there are a few, and they are all fairly affordable.

I own and have tried all three pairs of these myself, and I highly recommend the pair from Defendershield, however, they are all good options.

Below this section, I'll also cover how you can make your own pair of EMF protection gloves. However, in most cases, I would recommend just purchasing them, as they will function better are are already fairly affordable.

If you’re looking for a solid pair of EMF protection gloves, I think this pair from Defendershield is a great option.

I’ve personally tested these, and they do a fantastic job of blocking radiation from common devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops, and more.

Whether you’re sensitive to EMFs or just want to be proactive about reducing your exposure, these gloves are a practical, comfortable solution.

Key Features

  • Reliable EMF Protection: These gloves are designed to block radiation from 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and other wireless signals, which is perfect if you’re experiencing tingling or burning sensations from device use.
  • Touchscreen-Friendly: I was impressed that I could still easily use my phone, tablet, or laptop without having to take the gloves off.
  • Comfortable Fit: They’re lightweight and breathable, made with a mix of cotton, spandex, and shielding fibers. They feel soft on your hands and aren’t bulky, so they’re comfortable for everyday use.
  • Multiple Uses: I found these gloves super versatile—they worked just as well for my laptop as they did for scrolling on my phone or typing on my tablet.
  • Durability: While they feel well-made, I’d recommend being a little careful with them—some users have noted issues with wear over time, especially at the fingertips.

Why I Like Them

What I appreciate about these gloves is how easy they are to use.

I just slipped them on before working on my laptop or scrolling through my phone, and I didn’t feel that usual tingle in my hands that I sometimes get after long periods of device use.

Plus, they work with touchscreens, which is a big deal since so many EMF gloves I’ve tried in the past don’t.

Things to Consider

Now, they’re not perfect. The wrist area can feel a bit snug, so if you have larger hands (like I do), you might want to double-check the sizing.

2. Faraday Cage RF Shielded Gloves

This is another effective pair of EMF protection gloves that you can pick up on Amazon.

The company says that these protective gloves shield against the radio-frequency and electric field.

If you have EHS, or your hands hurt or tingle when you're working with electronics, these are a great option.

The Faraday Cage Shielded Gloves are made with polyester fibers that are twisted with pure silver that are then knit into a glove shape. They are lightweight, soft, and have a ribbed cuff providing comfort and practicality for daily use. I also appreciate that these are made in the United States.

Another great feature is these protective gloves are fully hand-washable and tested for 50 cycles with no loss of conductivity. This is not always the case with wearable EMF protection products

When I was testing these, I didn't personally find them as comfortable or easy to use as the pair from Defendershield, but I do feel that they are a really good value.

  • Touchscreen Compatible: Unlike some EMF gloves that make it hard to interact with touch-enabled devices, these work smoothly with smartphones and tablets, letting you stay connected without compromise.
  • Comfortable and Lightweight: I appreciated how soft and breathable they felt, even after hours of use. They’re snug without being restrictive, and the lightweight design is perfect for everyday activities.

My Experience:

What stood out to me was how user-friendly these gloves are. I could effortlessly switch between typing on my laptop and navigating my phone without any loss of functionality.

The gloves were a bit snug on my fairly large hands, but they should work well for most people.

Tip: Double-check the sizing before purchasing. These gloves run slightly smaller than expected, so if you have larger hands, you might want to explore other options.

DIY EMF Protection Gloves

For those of you who are do it yourselfers here is a quick option for making your own EMF protection gloves.

This is a great choice if you need or want multiple pairs of gloves as you will save a lot of money. An additional advantage to making your own is they are a custom fit!

Here are the supplies you will need for a DIY EMF Protection Glove:

Step 1: Size your Glove

Lay out two layers of your EMF protection fabric, then trace your hand with a marker or a piece of chalk. Make sure you aren't tracing inwards this will make the gloves too tight.

Step 2: Sew Glove

The next step is to simply sew along the line you drew. Make sure to try on the glove to make sure it fits and make adjustments as needed at this time.

Step 3: Cut Glove

Cut out the webbing but make sure to leave about 1/8 in. of EMF protection fabric. This will ensure that the seams don't come undone. Now all you have to do is turn your glove inside out, oh and you may want to make one for your other hand!

For those of you who are not interested in making your own EMF protection, not to worry, I have something for you too! Check out the top EMF protection Glove below.

There are many different reasons you may want to purchase or make an EMF radiation protection gloves. Whether you have EHS or you just want to reduce your exposure to harmful EMF radiation, I hope you found this quick guide helpful!
