How To Protect Against 5G – Essential Guide

I’ve written quite a few articles on what 5G is, and why it’s dangerous, which you can check out in the 5G section of EMF Academy. In this article though, I wanted to put together a really practical guide that actually outlined strategies and products that you can use to protect yourself, and your family, from the harmful effects of 5G.

So, first we’ll briefly go over what 5G is and why it is so dangerous, but I won’t go into as much detail as my other articles because I really want this guide to be more focused on solutions. I’ll outline what you need to know and point you to other good resources, and then we’ll get straight to how you can actually protect yourself.

So, first, let’s cover the basics.

What is 5G Cellular?

First of all, because I get this question so often (in fact I wrote a whole article on it), I wanted to first let you know that 5G WiFi and the 5G cellular we’re talking about in this article are not at all the same thing.

When you’re computer tries to connect to a network that has 5G in the name, it’s just talking about the frequency that the router is using. The 5G you hear about and that we’re talking about today stands for the 5th generation of cellular networks and technology.

Now that we have that out of the way, let’s talk about what 5G is going to be, and why so many people are rightfully worried.

Currently (or previously, depending on when you read this article) most cell-phones are connected to either 3G or 4G LTE networks. Each of these have a portion of the radio frequency spectrum, but it’s starting to become extremely crowded, and soon will not be able to support the enormous amount of devices being added every day.

On top of that, emerging technology requires faster and more reliable networks than what is currently being offered. For example, self-driving vehicles could be safer if our cell-networks were faster. Also, with the size of websites, videos, games, and apps increasing all the time, it’s taking longer and longer to download and upload content.

For these reasons and many more, 5G cellular networks are sort of “needed.” I put that in parentheses because as you’ll see, this speed and convenience do come at a price.

Why Is 5G More Dangerous?

I said earlier that the current networks are getting crowded, so 5G plans to use millimeter waves int he 30-300 gigahertz frequency, which haven’t been used before int his capacity.

These higher frequencies can offer some of the speed that is needed, but that is categorically more dangerous and require all new infrastructure to operate.

This new infrastructure will require literally all new cell-towers, which is why you often hear about 5G cell-towers. We’ll talk about how the 5G cell towers work in a minute, but for now, it’s important to understand that millimeter waves that 5G will be utilizing are very fast, but they are not particularly good at traveling far distances or penetrating buildings.

So, instead of the large cell-towers, you see currently that can support significant areas, 5G infrastructure will instead feature hundreds of thousands of mini-towers. You’ll see these on street-lamps, on the sides of buildings, on power lines, and just about anywhere else they can get away with putting them.

I’ve talked quite a bit in other articles about how important distance is when it comes to protecting ourselves from EMF radiation of any kind, including the RF that will be emitted from 5G. This is due to something called the inverse-square law of physics.

Essentially what this law states is that as we double our distance from a source of radiation, we quarter our exposure to it. This means that we have exponential protection from EMF radiation the further away we are. 5G will put the cell-towers much, much closer to us, and they will be largely unavoidable. This is one of the first reasons that 5G will likely be so dangerous: proximity.

The other big issue is that the frequencies that 5G will use are largely untested and likely to be far more dangerous. I won’t go into this too in-depth in this article because I have a huge article outlining all the danger of 5G, but I do think it’s important to give you a little bit more information.

For example, renowned public health professor Dr. Joel Moskowitz told The Daily Mail the following:

The deployment of 5G, or fifth-generation cellular technology, constitutes a massive experiment on the health of all species. Because MMWs are weaker than microwaves, they are predominantly absorbed by the skin, meaning their distribution is quite focused there.

He also told Daily Mail Online that he’s concerned that ‘5G will use high-band frequencies, or millimeter waves, that may affect the eyes, the testes, the skin, the peripheral nervous system, and sweat glands.’

Millimeter waves can also make some pathogens resistant to antibiotics,’ he added. 

This is just one expert’s opinion though, Dr. Moskowitz certainly isn’t alone in his beliefs. In fact The International Society of Doctors for the Environment, its subsidiaries in 27 countries and more than 200 doctors and scientists are all calling for a stop to be put to the rollout of 5G, ‘due to concern that 5G radio frequency radiation will have adverse health effects,’ Dr. Moskowitz says. 

In fact many experts, doctors, and scientists are calling for a complete halt to the rollout of 5G. You can read many comments, letters, and warnings from these experts in this article that I wrote.

Now that we’ve talked briefly about what 5G is, and why exactly it’s dangerous, it’s time that we got to the real point of this article: the solutions.

How To Protect Against 5G EMF Radiation

I’m going to talk about a few things in this section that I think are important. The first is a set of products from a company called Aires Tech. Once you get done reading about it you’ll understand why I chose to include them in this article.

I’m also going to talk about simple ways that you can reduce your exposure not only to 5G, but to other sources of EMF radiation. In fact one of the better ways we can protect ourselves from 5G radiation is to reduce our total exposure, since the damage from EMF radiation exposure is cumulative.

Ok, let’s jump into it.

Aires Tech – What It Is and How It Protects You From 5G

Aires Tech is a company that produces a full line of EMF protection products, most of which are compatible with 3G, LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and yes, even 5G.

The thing that first drew me to Aires Tech as a company was their transparency and litany of information available on their website.

You see, I’ve tested hundreds of EMF protection products that I’ve either purchased, or have been sent to me over the years. After I test and try out the products, I always go to the company website to get more information about how the products are intended to work, what studies have been done on their effectiveness, is the technology patented, etc.

Ever since people started waking up to the danger of EMF radiation and 5G, hundreds of companies have quickly entered the market to try and take advantage of demand. Many of these companies are pushing bogus products with absolutely no proof that they work.

That is not the case with Aires Tech.

In fact, via the “Technology” menu tab on Aires Tech website, you’ll literally have access to:

  • 8 Peer-reviewed studies
  • 5 Scientific Publications
  • 19 Different Clinical & Scientific Trials and Reports
  • 21 Aires Tech Patents
  • 5 Computer Modeling Calculations
  • 3 Effective Range Calculations

As well as a full list of their research team and information about all of these resources.

I would challenge you to find a similar product with even a portion of this kind of transparency and availability of research.

The bottom line is, they are a company that actually stands behind the products that they are promoting. Here are just a few reasons why I like what they are doing.

  1. They have multiple independent verifications from third party companies and labs that their products work.
  2. Their products are globally recognized and have won many awards.
  3. Their products have been peer-reviewed and published by the scientific community.
  4. They’ve spent over $20 million on research and development to create these products.
  5. Their technology is completely patented.
  6. Their products are fully compatible with any devices you may own.
  7. I ordered some products myself to try and their customer service was unmatched.

Hopefully that is enough to convince you to read on. I’m going to briefly talk about how their technology works, and then I’ll outline a few products that I think are especially important when it comes to protecting yourself from 5G.

How Aires Tech Products Work

If you want a full scientific description of exactly how the technology works, I’d encourage you to click on the “technology” section of the Aires Tech website. Instead, I’m going to give a simpler explanation so you can understand how these products work to protect you.

First, before I go over the description I think the image below will give you a better idea of how complex their products are. This is the Aires Defender Pro (don’t worry we’ll talk product specifics in just a second).

You can see from the image (this is interactive by the way if you want to view it on their website) that inside of their products is actually a set of microprocessors. The Aires Defender Pro for example harnesses the EMF’s from all around it and is able to use that energy to power the microprocessors.

These microprocessors then create a harmonized electromagnetic field.

As they say on their website:

“When an excess charge (polarization) has built up, it is automatically redistributed to the Aires microprocessor, which uses the charge to cause a coherent transformation of the field in the form of a hologram – made up of regularly alternating maxima and minima. The hologram interacts with external radiation, restructuring and transforming the EMF haze into a more biologically-compatible form, thus reducing the conflict between the external radiation and the radiation from the human body’s cells.”

Essentially, their devices work by harnessing the energy from 5G and other negative EMF radiation sources to power a system that will protect you from these same sources.

Now that we’ve talked a bit about how the product works, let’s quickly talk about a few of the best products that you can use to protect yourself against 5G.

1. Aires Tech Defender Pro

Since we’ve already been talking about it, let’s take a look at the Aires Tech Defender.

This is one of their most popular products and is designed to protect a single individual from the harmful effects of EMF radiation.

It’s currently rated to protect against 3G, LTE, WiFi Bluetooth and 5g.

It protects you not only from your own devices, but also ones nearby that you are being exposed to.

The device is no larger than a credit card, so many people just store it in their wallet or purse.

It protects you from your own electronics, power lines, cell-towers, and any other source of EMF pollution.

Recently updated, the Defender Pro now has:

  • A 16 ft Effective Radius
  • Greater Efficiency
  • A new processor that is now compatable to protect you from 5G.
  • And much more.

2. Aires Shield Pro

Airetech Lifetune One

This is another really popular product, partially because of its low price. The Aires Shield Pro is their entry-level product and is intended to go on a single device and protect you from that device.

Many people put these on things like their laptop, cell-phone, Bluetooth earpiece, monitor, TV, WiFi router, or just about anything else that is going to emit EMF radiation.

The product works much like the Defender Pro, but because it’s a smaller device, it also has a smaller range of 5 ft.

However, just because it’s small does not mean it’s not powerful. If you’re looking for protection from your specific electronics, then this is a great route to go. I have these on many of the electronics in my office.

You basically just place them on the device and then forget about it.

5G has already been rolled out in so many cities across the country, and more and more new phones are coming with 5G connectivity built-in. So now is a good time to start preparing yourself to be protected. Not only that, but they also protect you from the EMFs that the device is already giving off.

3. Aires Lifetune Room

The Aires Lifetune Room is the most powerful product in their line, and honestly the best value for your money.

Whereas the Shield Pro is meant to protect you from a single device, and the Defender Pro is meant to protect a single person, the Aires Lifetune Room is meant to protect a large space such as an:

  • Office
  • Vehicle
  • Server Room
  • Bedroom
  • Children’s Room
  • Living Room

Or just about anything else. In fact it has a protective area of 500 square feet. This means that the Aires Lifetune Room was developed to actually reduce the harmful effects of EMF radiation (including 5G) in a large space.

Although the full line of products are a fantastic way to reduce your overall exposure to EMF radiation, the Aires Lifetune Room is certainly the best value when it comes to the square feet of protection for your money.

Alright, now that we’ve gone over some of my favorite 5G protection products, let’s talk about a few of the other ways that you can protect yourself from 5G.

Other Ways To Protect Against 5G

I’m going to go over some simple strategies that you can use to lower your overall exposure to EMF radiation (since the damage is cumulative) as well as specific ways that you’ll be able to protect yourself against 5G.

1. Use Distance To Your Advantage

I talk about this in my posts all the time, but there is something called the inverse-square law of physics, and it’s a super important concept to understand when we’re talking about protecting ourselves from EMF radiation.

Essentially what this law states, is that as we double our distance from a source of radiation (including EMF radiation like 5G) we quarter our exposure to it. Think about that for a minute. Essentially what this means is that the damage that EMF radiation causes, exponentially decreases as we move further away from it.

So for example, even the difference between holding a cell-phone against your head, or out in front of you on speakerphone is monumental protection from that radiation.

As 5G (or 5th generation of cellular networks) continues to roll out in major cities, you’ll find it is all but unavoidable. Not only your cell-phone will be connected, but eventually nearly all the technology around us, including our home routers.

So, what the most important way we can protect ourselves from 5G is to get as much distance from these devices as possible.

Here are some simple ways you can do that:

  • At night, be sure you don’t keep your phone with you, especially under your pillow or right on your nightstand. Our phones are one of our greatest EMF exposure risks, and as 5G continues to be rolled out, keeping our phone away from our bodies when we’re sleeping is one of the smartest things we can do. Read more here.
  • Keep your phone off of your body. Whether you put it in your pocket, in your bra, or anywhere else on your body, you’ll be much better off keeping it in your backpack, purse, briefcase, or somewhere else. If you can’t give this up, be sure to get a quality EMF protection case (This is the one I use and trust), and be sure the protective side is facing your body. Or, as we talked about above you could use an Aires Shield Pro.
  • Instead of holding your phone up to your head when you’re talking, consider either using the speakerphone or getting a pair of air tube headphones to talk with (This is the best pair available by far). This will keep your phone away from your head, and reduce your radiation exposure.
  • Keep your router out of rooms you sleep or spend time. Although it won’t be an immediate change, 5G will be so fast, that many homes will opt to use it for their primary internet connection. Keeping this router as far away from you as possible (or getting protection) is one of the best things you can do. We’ll talk more about this later.

There are countless examples that I could list, but it would take over this post. Here is the main takeaway though:

Whenever you can get distance from a source of EMF radiation, you are protecting yourself.

This will be especially true as 5G continues to advance forward and becomes more and more available in various cities.

2. Protect Your Home From 5G

Alright, now it’s time to talk a little bit about our home, our sanctuary, the place we sleep and relax and spend time with family.

Now, it may not be the first place you think of when it comes to the dangers of 5G, but I can assure you (especially if you live in a large city) that you will eventually almost certainly have a 5G cell tower very close to your home.

If you read my primary post about 5G, then you probably understand what sort of physical infrastructure 5G will require.

However, to briefly fill you in:

How 5G Will Infiltrate Your Home

5G will require the use of new bandwidth’s not currently used by 4G LTE. Although these frequencies provide the speed that this new network wants, they are extremely poor at traveling long distances or penetrating physical barriers like homes, trees, buildings, mountains, etc.

So, whereas our current network works mostly off of large cell towers spaced fairly far apart, 5G will utilize hundreds of thousands of small, extremely powerful, small-site relays and towers. So, instead of a large structure they made look like a tree, you’ll see small devices on street signs, telephone poles, sides of buildings, and just about anywhere else they can get away with putting them.

This means that our previous step, gaining distance from 5G for protection, will become harder and harder as more infrastructure is built and implemented.

What this means for your home, is that this will be difficult to keep out.

The next thing that we have to think about when it comes to our homes and 5G, is all of the 5G connected devices that we’ll have inside.

Part of the reason that we as a society are moving towards 5G, is that we have so many more smart devices than we ever have had in the past. The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network that allows devices to communicate with us, with each other, and with the internet.

These devices are crowding the current frequencies, and 5G is an attempt to relieve that. So, you should expect that not only your phone will be connected, but your smart-meter, your router, and many of your home appliances as well.

So, one of the best thing we can do to protect our homes from 5G, or just EMF radiation in general, is to try to be wise about which devices we are bringing into our homes. Do you really need a smart fridge, or a smart-microwave, or a smart-toaster?

Ok, so maybe not all of those will be a thing, but you get the point. Just think through whether the increased radiation exposure is worth the convenience that these new devices will bring.

4. Get An EMF Meter

TLDR: The Trifield TF2 is what I recommend for measuring and locating 5G sources.

No matter what you’re doing, if you care about the danger of EMF radiation then the most important tool you can possibly own is an EMF meter.

I wrote about this in my other guide to the dangers of 5G, so I’m going to borrow from that article instead of re-inventing the wheel.

Not only will a quality EMF meter allow you to measure the radiation exposure around you, but it will also tell you if the steps you are taking to protect yourself are actually working.

For example, say that you have a smart meter on your home, and you want to shield yourself. You purchase a quality smart meter shield but aren’t sure if it actually reduced the radiation in your home. Having a good EMF meter will tell you.

There are endless ways that you can use an EMF meter to learn about the exposure risks in your home, in your neighborhood, or at work. You can tell not only how much radiation, but what kind you are being exposed to.

A good EMF meter will also be your absolute best friend when it comes to measuring potential 5G implementations in your neighborhood.

The trouble is that most EMF and RF meters on the market are designed to measure the current outputs of RF in the sub 8 GHz range. When it comes to 5G, it is being tested in two ranges primarily.

Below 6 GHz, and between 30-300 GHz.

Currently, there isn’t a publicly available meter that can measure in both of these ranges, so we have to go with the best that is available.

Luckily though, all 5G towers are only using the lower range, which is why I recommend the Trifield TF2, which you can get on Amazon. At least at the time, I’m writing this, the Trifield can measure all currently installed 5g antennas because they all use the lower range. This may not always be the case. Here is what the Trifield website says about this:

The TF2 RF mode covers up to 6 GHz. All the present 5G deployed in the US is in this frequency range (in fact, it is all below 5 GHz). However, within the next few years, commercial deployment of 5G in the next higher band, a big jump up to 28 GHz, may begin. At present, no RF meter is commercially available that simultaneously detects this high frequency band and the lower frequencies. It is not clear yet whether the 28 GHz band will ever be widely deployed, because there are problems. Chief among the problems is that 28 GHz is very poor at penetrating to the inside of buildings or even through windows. Also it generally has to be line-of-sight.

5. Advocate Against 5G

Finally, the last thing you can do (and it could be the first thing you do) is to advocate against the rollout of 5G. There are already hundreds if not thousands of groups forming in communities all around the world to advocate against the implementation of 5G.

This is mostly because this is a completely untested technology, with largely unknown health impacts, that will be pervasive in our communities. Although it will only be in larger cities, to begin with, it will likely eventually be just about everywhere in most industrialized countries.

It includes agency email addresses and phone numbers, as well as education and stock letters to help you.

Honestly, fighting against the implementation of 5G is one of the best possible ways to protect yourself, and your family, from potential harm.

Final Thoughts

5G has already begun rolling out in cities around the world. In fact in some cities, if you have a 5G activated phone, you could already be connected. Although many people are fighting against this rollout, it is beginning to seem more and more inevitable.

The best thing we can do as a community is to prepare now to protect ourselves and our families from this potential harm.
