I own and have tried most of their products, including their popular baby blanket. After getting to know their products and company for nearly a year now, I thought it was time I wrote a comprehensive review of their product line, and tell you what I think of each product.
I’m not going to use this review to talk about the dangers of EMF radiation, but at the end I’ll point you to some relevant resources related to the Belly Armor products!
Alright, let’s get started!
Belly Armor – Who Are They?
Alright, first let’s talk a little bit about who the company Belly Armor is, and what they stand for.
First of all, Belly Armor is a Radiashield company. RadiaShield is the technology behind all of their products and the actual material that blocks the radiation.
Something I appreciate about RadiaShield as a company and as a material is that they design and manufacture all of their own products. You’ll find that many of the EMF protection products on the market are just products manufactured in China or elsewhere, that are then private-labeled.
This isn’t always a bad thing, but what you lose with this strategy is the oversight and quality control that you gain by owning your own factories.
Belly Armor started when Co-Founder and CEO Aileen Chen was pregnant with her first child. At the time she was a banking executive always on her devices.
Like many expectant mothers, she started researching all the ways that she can be healthier for herself, and for her child. She knew about the normal things to be aware of: eating right, avoiding alcohol, not smoking, etc. but she started to wonder about the health impacts of the wireless devices she was always around.
Her story is really similar to mine, just with a slightly different outcome. I started EMF Academy when my wife was pregnant, and I started to research more about the dangers of EMF radiation. I saw that there weren’t enough simple, helpful, easy to understand resources out there, and I wanted to do my part. Now, EMF Academy is one of the largest and most trusted resources on the dangers of EMF radiation.
Aileen Chen took a similar route, feeling a need to both spread information, and always create products that were provided a simple and effective way to protect our families.
Belly Armor has now grown into one of the most recognized and reputable companies when it comes to EMF protection for children, mothers, and more. Their flagship product, the belly blanket, is one of the most recognizable and popular anti-radiation blankets on the market. Don’t worry, we’ll cover all the products in more detail down below.
Recognized in publications like The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, People.com, Newsweek, the Talk and many more, as well as having received many awards, Belly Armor is a brand that continues to grow in reputation.
Alright, enough about the company, let’s talk more about the Radiashield technology that they use in all of their products, then we’ll get to the individual product reviews.
RadiaShield – What It Is and How It Works
Belly armor makes some really soft, snuggly, and attractive products. At the core of all of those products though, is their proprietary RadiaShield Fabric.
Radiashield fabric is a conductive silver textile that has extremely high shielding effectiveness against non-ionizing EMF radiation emitted from things like cell-phones, tablets, laptops, routers, smart meters, cell-towers and more.
The fabric itself has been tested both internally and externally by FCC-certified and NVLAP accredited labs. All tests found that the fabric itself was capable of shielding 99.99% of EMF radiation. You can view the full report here if you’re interested.
In plainer terms, the Radiashield fabric used in all Belly Armor products puts an effective barrier between you or your loved one, and sources of EMF radiation. It is able to neutralize that radiation by blocking or reflecting the electromagnetic waves.
It is made primarily of silver because silver is such a good conductor as well as being stable, safe, and anti-bacterial. The fabric is also comfortable, breathable, and safe for use by pregnant women and children.

The Radiashield fabric, on top of being a great blocking material for EMF radiation, is also perfect for the Belly Armor products for a few reasons:
All Belly Armor products are free of heavy metals, common allergens, and toxic chemicals.
Lightweight and breathable.
Machine washable. All belly armor products can just be thrown in with your normal laundry and washed on cold, then just hang to dry. The coolest part about this is that the Radiashield fabric will not lose any of it’s effectiveness no matter how many times you wash it.

I own and have tried most of BellyArmor’s products myself, but I obviously have not tried every single one. So all of my comments and reviews are based on a combination of my own experience, customer reviews, and research.

Belly Armor Belly Blanket Review

Alright, let’s start off with Belly Armor’s flagship product, their blanket. Now, this is a product that I both own, and have used. My wife used it while she was pregnant, and my daughter has used it as well in her crib and for naps.
There are quite a few EMF blocking and anti-radiation blankets on the market now, but Belly Armor has been around basically since the beginning.
Essentially their blankets are a soft material, like cotton, on the outside in various designs, and then lined completely with the Radiashield fabric that we talked about above that does such a good job blocking EMF radiation.
All of their blankets are machine washable so they are easy to take care of. They are all also breathable, soft, and super comfortable.
I also really liked the size of their belly blanket (30×55 inches) it’s a nice size for a baby blanket, or to cover your stomach and lap.
They are perfect save and are free of heavy metals, toxic chemicals, and common allergens.
How To Use The Belly Blanket
There are endless ways you can use the Belly Armor Belly Blanket, but there are two popular ways:
- If your pregnant, use the blanket to protect your belly whenever you are using any device that emits EMF radiation like you cell phone, tablet, laptop, or anything else. This will put a barrier between the source of the radiation and your baby.
- After the baby is born, this makes a perfect baby blanket as they are growing up to protect them from things like WiFi radiation, baby monitors, tablets, etc.
I know that when my wife was pregnant, there was a lot of time that she was just sitting around, trying to get through the day. Often, to take her mind off things, she would scroll through her phone, or tablet, or watch TV.
The Belly Armor blanket offered her and our baby great protection while she did this.

Alright, now let’s talk about some other really cool products, that I have not personally tested, but I have heard and read such good things about.
Belly Armor has a full line of maternity clothes (and a pair of boxers!) that are really exciting, and relatively unique to the EMF protection clothing market.
Although they all do essentially the same thing, protect a growing baby inside the womb, they all have a little bit different style and design, so I want to talk about them individually.
First though, just know that all of these still use the same Radiashield silver fabric that their other products use, so you know you’ll be getting the same lab tested protection and comfort.
Belly Armor Belly Band

The belly band is one of Belly Armor’s most popular products for sure. Essentially it is just a comfortable cotton band that is lined with Radiashield that wraps around your entire belly and back, protecting you and baby from EMF radiation while you’re on your devices, or on the go.
The nice thing about these is that you can wear them every day, and you’ll be protecting the baby no matter what you are doing.
They are designed so that they are not too snug, and have a loose comfortable fit. The pleated design allows the band to be easily adjusted vertically for full coverage and protection. This also allows you to cover unzipped pants as your belly grows.
They are extremely soft, lightweight, and breathable, and make a perfect gift for any expecting mother.
Belly Armor Camisole

Alright, next up is the Belly Armor Lace Camisole.
I won’t go into too much detail about this product or the next few, because they are all roughly the same thing, just in different options and designs.
This camisole is basically the belly band combined with a camisole. So it still provides the all-around protection that the belly band does, but in a soft and comfortable camisole that is easy to wear all day without having to worry about it falling off, or down, or needing adjustment.

This is a stylish, lightweight, breathable and comfortable v-neck maternity tee that has the Radiashield protection built right in.
You don’t see the material with this tee, so it just looks like a high-quality maternity tee. However, you’ll know while you’re using it that you and baby are both protected and safe from electromagnetic radiation.
I have a friend that has a few of these T-shirts, and I know that she absolutely loved them throughout her entire pregnancy!

This is another product that my wife and I own and have used, and loved.
If you’ve read my enormous guide on EMF radiation and children, then you probably know that babies and children are far more vulnerable to the harmful effects of EMF radiation.
I won’t go into the details in this review, but just believe me when I say that a child’s rapidly growing and developing brain, is much more vulnerable to EMF radiation from the devices around them.
This adorable baby hat is a great aid in the effort to give your baby the best start possible.
Still lightweight, comfortable, and breathable, this hat is lined with Radiashield, protecting baby while they are watching TV, using a tablet, or just being in a home with WiFi.
It comes in various sizes and styles to choose from.
Belly Armor Nursing Cover Review

Want to protect your little one from cell-phone and laptop radiation while breastfeeding? Well, then this nursing cover from Belly Armor is exactly what you’ve been looking for.
If you’re going to own a quality nursing cover anyway, why not have one that also protects against EMF radiation.
I know that when my wife was pregnant, sometimes breastfeeding would take a really long time, and she would pull her cell-phone out to help pass the time. This is a great way to protect your little one while not sacrificing any comforts.
The nursing cover itself is stylish (multiple designs) and discreet.
There aren’t very many anti-radiation nursing covers on the market, but this one is by far my favorite.

The bottom line is that Belly Armor is an extremely innovative company that makes some of the best EMF protection products on the market.
My wife and I have both loved the products we’ve tried from them, and are continually impressed with the content and message they put out.
